Matters of Representation
Exhibit Dates: April 3 – June 27, 2020
In 2010, Moundville Park unveiled the fully renovated Jones Archaeological Museum, the result of years of dedication and hard work. During the renovation process, Moundville Archaeological Park collaborated with existing affiliated tribes to properly and respectfully display the Mississippian culture that once called the site home. As Native American visibility is an ever-present issue, the American cultural narrative “Matters of Representation” is an exhibition designed to present some of the amazing contemporary Native American artists whose work made the Jones Museum truly come to life.
