The Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum’s Swimming Together exhibit is mentioned in the 2022 edition of Mosaic magazine! Mosaic is the annual magazine of the Alabama Humanities Alliance. They love a good story. Especially a story that gives a little context about what makes Alabamians, well, Alabamians.

Founded in 1974, the Alabama Humanities Alliance is a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities. As a statewide nonprofit, they’re passionate about using the humanities to make Alabama better. AHA supports programs that encourage impactful storytelling, lifelong learning, and civic engagement. They provide Alabamians with opportunities to appreciate our diverse cultures, connect with our communities, and to see each other as fully human.
