MothFest! 2018

a drawing of a mothMothFest! took place on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. at the Warner Transportation Museum.Moth-ers of all ages were encouraged to attend this FREE event to observe, discover, and document the amazing diversity of moths that live in the Tuscaloosa area.  Special light and bait stations were set up to attract moths, and there were a variety of activities for all ages.   The Warner Transportation Museum was proud to host this event in partnership with our colleagues at the Alabama Museum of Natural History.

This year’s MothFest! was our biggest one yet with over 300 guests attending, and there  were several food trucks on site (Cheese Louise, Local Churn, & Local Roots), so visitors could enjoy food and drink while learning about the amazing diversity of moths and other insects we have right here in Tuscaloosa. Tuscaloosa News article: www.tuscaloosanews.com/news/20180729/night-of-moths-hundreds-attend-tuscaloosas-mothfest
